Teton Dam Marathon
So this last Saturday Eric ran a half marathon(13.1 miles). He came in fifth place which I missed because I thought he told me to be at the finish line by 9:00 but apparently he told me to be there before 9:00 (I don't hear so good when I'm half asleep). So Mel and I got there around 9:00 and we had the camera ready and we're waiting and waiting and finally after 20 minutes of waiting and watching several runners go by that were not going very fast at all and I mean they were going really slow, Melanie says "those runners couldn't have beaten Eric, we've had to miss him." It was about then that Eric popped up behind us and I had to tell him the bad news that I didn't get a picture of him crossing the finish line. Thankfully Eric was a good sport about it and was fine just possing in front of the finish line with me.

Mel's Play
For the past month and half Melanie has been attending rehersals 5 out of 7 nights of the week (all rehersals lasted on average 3-4 hrs) for a play entitled SMASH. Melanie landed a lead role and has been performing the play here at BYU Idaho for the past two weeks. Last night Eric,my mom, my dad, and I were able to see Melanie perform and she did an amazing job. We were all very proud of her. My parents were only able to stay for a short time but while they were here my mom helped me dress up the baby crib with the dust ruffle, mattres sheet, and crib bumpers that she all made(she is a very good seamstress). When my parents dropped Melanie off at the beginning of this semester my mom took me out to select material for the baby's crib, and since I'm not much of a seamstress she offered to take the material home and work on it. Thanks Mom for all your hard work!

Melanie is sucking on a jaw breaker (been working on it for a while now) and mom is hand stitching the foam pads inside the bumper pads.

The before picture and now drum roll please.....

The finished crib. Thanks again mom you're the best!
