Caleb: "Bless you!"
I had just given Kylie a bath
Lily smells Kylie's hair...
Lily:"Oh she smells good!" pauses to think "but we don't eat babies do we?"
Mom: "Nope, we sure don't."
Caleb was coloring with a yellow marker and Lily wanted it so she tried to grab it away but ended up getting colored on, to which she said...
Lily: "Hey! You colored on me! Caleb you're not suppose to color on a Lily!
Caleb: "Oh, I sorry."
Lily was on a time out in her room for being rude and after a few mintues I hear...
Lily: "Beep beep, beep beep! Hey mom the timer went off! My time out is done!"
Lily: "Hey mom stop making your face look like a bum!"
Mom: "What do you mean?"
To which Lily showed me what I looked like by pushing her brows together until they were touching...like two bum cheeks ;)
I had not been feeling very well and it had finally snowed enough for the kids to play in it but the sad thing is they don't last very long ... 5-10 minutes tops and I was feeling like it wasn't worth the energy it would suck from me to get both my kids dressed in their snow gear and then out of it all 5-10 minutes later. On top of that the snow here melts pretty quick so they'd be playing in muddy snow... I tried explaining all this to Lily and this was her response...all the while smiling and clasping her hands to her chest...
"No mom, the backyard is a beautiful, white playground of happiness!"
In the end they got to go play out side but were back inside 10 minutes later ;)
The following conversation has occured more than once between me and Caleb...basically it takes place when he's hungry.
Me: "Do you feel like having a banana?"
Caleb: "No, how bout bears!" (his gummy vitamins which he thinks are candy.)
Me: "You already had them today, what about an apple?"
Caleb: "No, how bout chocolate!"
Me: "Nope, we need to eat something healthy. Would you like some cheese and crackers?"
Caleb: shakes his head and says "How bout .... Candy?!"
