Sunday after picking up Lily from her Sunbeam class ...
Lily: "Mom! Jesus is a King!" (pauses to think for a bit) "Hey, just like Muffasa on Lion King!"
After I had painted Lily's finger nails, she took a moment to inspect them and said...
Lily: "Ladies... you look gorgeous."
Me: "Hey Lily do want an apple?"
Lily: "Yeah, but can you take the beans out?" I guess beans = Apple seeds :)
So the kids both got up super early one morning and then proceeded to be way too grumpy and whinny for our liking...
Eric: "Both of you just need to go back to sleep!"
Lily: "No!! We're not good at falling asleep!"
Lily graduated to Junior Primary at the beginning of this year and at first seemed to really like it. She especially thought it "cool" that we went together since I play the piano for our ward's Primary. Unfortunately, she has since made up her mind that she prefers Nursery and let me tell ya this girl is a pill. She doesn't want to sit with her class or participate during "Sharing time" or learn the new songs during "Singing time" she just whines about how hungry she is and how no one will let her talk :) N-e-ways after a particularly bad day at church (LOTS of meltdowns, rude comments, sassing, and tantrums) the following conversation took place in our van on our way home from church...
Me: "Lily, because you were so bad at church today, you're going to take a nap once we get home."
*Note: Lily stopped taking naps a little over a year ago
Lily: "But Mom! It's not my fault, I'm just having a really REALLY bad day!"
We were having dinner and Lily noticed that Eric had a cut on one of his fingers...
Lily: "Daddy, did a big shark bite you?"
Eric:"Nope, my arm would be gone if a big shark bit me."
Lily: "Oh....so it was a baby shark that bit you."
