My Kids are Growing Up!

So this post is just a bunch of random pictures of my kids from the past two months and since they're growing up so fast I simply wanted to document it :)

For those of you who have not yet tried peanut butter pretzel trail mix you need to. That stuff is awesome and in the above picture Lily and Caleb are enjoying a snack of it at our little park down the street :)

Kylie is such a happy little girl and we sure love her, she has become more mobile over that past couple months but has yet to master walking, instead she's decided to learn how to scream REALLY loud.

Kylie loves her big brother Caleb and this was one of those rare moments where Caleb actually wanted to hold Kylie and have me take pictures of them.

During a morning walk we found this rock and Lily and Caleb played happily on it for a good 10 minutes.

Kylie just chilling in her stroller

This is where we live :) Not a bad view ehh?

We have been trying to potty train Caleb for past couple months and we are, unfortunately, not there yet but when he does go in the toilet he gets chocolate chips. One day after successfully going in the toilet he got his treat but this time he decided to stick the chocolate chips inside his ear, they of course melted and I got to clean chocolate out of his ears for the next couple days. This boy is something else.

The other day I was busy in the kitchen trying to get Caleb interested in coloring at the table so I could finish cleaning up the floor... I knew it was getting close for me to put Kylie down for a nap but since she wasn't whinnying I figured she could stay up a bit longer. Well I finished the floor and thought I'd better go find Kylie since I hadn't seen or heard much noise from her. I went into our front room and found her asleep on the carpet holding on to Caleb's empty capri sun wrapper :)

I love my kids!

Bow Hill Blueberries

Back in September, on one of Eric's days off, we headed over to a blueberry farm that allowed you to pick the blueberries yourself :) Everyone in our family loves Blueberries so this was good outing for us. To be honest the kids did more eating than picking but I can't complain they left happy, stained finger tips and full bellies. We will definitely will be going back next blueberry season.

In the end, after weeding through our pickings and ridding the collection of overly ripe or not ripe at all berries (Caleb didn't quite get the concept of picking only the ripe ones) we had two full bags of delicious berries. We ate them plain, on top of waffles, used them to bake yummy breakfast cakes or scrumptious muffins, threw them in salads, sprinkled them on top of our hot cereal along with chopped pecans and brown sugar, froze a few for smoothies and made blueberry syrup! We enjoyed those berries while they lasted and look forward to next years crop :)
