Kylie is One!

Wow I can't believe how fast Kylie's first year with us has gone by, its hard to believe that one year from today (November 11th) Eric and I were kissing Lily and Caleb and leaving them in the very capable hands of my mother to quickly, but safely, rush over to the hospital since my water had just broken.

Kylie was the only baby to come out with black hair, the previous two were practically bald with the exception of a light dusting of peach fuzz. Kylie was truly a wonderful baby, hardly ever fussed, ate well, slept well and smiled early. She has continued to be wonderful, her personality is very relaxed, she is not a demanding child and has taught me a lot about being patient by example. Kylie is the only child out of the three that doesn't scream to get her breakfast in the morning. Kylie is a cuddle bug and I hope she stays that way, she loves her big sister Lily and her big brother Caleb.

Below are some pictures of us at the neighborhood park while dinner was cooking since Kylie loves the park.

Lily and Caleb were probably more excited about Kylie's presents then Kylie was.

So Kylie did not want anything to do with her birthday cupcake. She a was a little hesitant fully dressed but once Eric took her shirt off, cause he was sure she would get super messy, she lost it and would not touch the cupcake.

So Sad :(

Lily and Caleb enjoyed the cupcakes at least :)

In the end the Birthday girl got a sweet juicy pear for her dessert and she was much happier :)

We love you Kylie and are so grateful you are part of our family, Happy Birthday Kylie we looked forward to celebrating many more with you!!

The Month of October

Lily's Pre-school Pumpkin Patch Field Trip

This was a local farm on the island and not only did they have a field full of pumpkins for the kids to walk through and select their very own pumpkin but they gave the class a tour of what else they had on the farm such as peacocks, turkeys and cows. Despite it being rather chilly the kids enjoyed themselves and so did I :)

Lily's class and her two Teachers Miss Sarah and Miss Michelle (we love them).

The kids really enjoyed this hay stack maze.

Halloween

This year my mom helped me make Lily's and Caleb's costumes and they turned out darling in my opinion.  Lily was "Little Red Riding Hood" Caleb was the "Wood cutter" who saves the day and Kylie was "The Wolf". Caleb was very excited about getting to walk around with an axe but he wasn't allowed to see or touch the plastic axe until about an hour before it was time to go trick or treating and once he finally got to hold it his first word was "YES!" Then he was all about show casing it in pictures :) Funny guy. Oh and the feather in Caleb's cap is a real pheasant feather ... we ate the owner of the feather a couple sunday's ago after Eric shot it on his first pheasant hunt :)

The outdoor pictures were hard cause no one wanted to look at the camera (busy watching the neighborhood kids running around on lawns) and half of their smiles aren't the real thing and Kylie refused to stay put o'well they still look cute.

Kylie was my "hand out candy" buddy while Eric took the two older kids trick or treating around the neighborhood. They were back by 7:30 and we ran out of candy to hand out around 8 so Halloween didn't last too long for us :) but as short as it was the kids enjoyed the holiday.
