Caleb: "I am handsome, right mommy? And Daddy is handsome and you are handsome."
Mom: "Yes, you and Daddy are handsome but I'm a girl so I'm pretty."
Caleb: "No you're not pretty."

Lily runs into the other room where she had built a fort and in an angry voice yelled..."WHAT!?! Caleb!"
Caleb: "My chicken did it”
Caleb: “Mom can we please blow up some candy?”
Mom: “Blow up some candy?”
Caleb: “Yeah mom, then it will be perfect.”
The only explanation I can give is Caleb LOVES sweets and lately he has become OBSESSED with pretending to blow things up or really destroying things in the house like his bed (hacking at it with Eric’s pocket knife, or ripping open stuffed animals and pulling out their fluff) so I guess in his mind if we combined the two (candy and destruction) its gotta be “perfect”.
I was trying to get dinner ready and Caleb was being rather annoying and nagging me for food, begging for a taste of whatever I chopping or preparing
and I finally say
Mom:“Ok, ok! Just hold your horses buddy!”
Caleb: “But mom, I don’t see any horses?”
Mom: “Lily that was some good singing.”
Lily: “I just do what I can mom.”
Caleb: “Outch! That hurt! Mom this toy needs to go on time out it hurt me.”
Lily: “Dad I think I’m on the wrong time out.”
Lily: “Hey Caleb what are you eating?”
Mom: “Oh, I gave him some prunes, you want some?”
Lily: “What are prunes?”
Mom: “They’re dried out plums.”
Lily: “Instead of wet plums?”
