Projects and Piano!

The following pictures are of the sewing projects I did last semester in my Home Decor class, my mother has been after me for a while to post pictures of them so this is for you mom, hope you enjoy :)

This is my first rag quilt it turned out a lot nicer than I thought it would.

When my Mom was out here helping with Lilly I had one more project to finish (these curtains) she helped design them and walked me through the construction process, thanks mom!

This was my first project in the class, hot pads...I've decided that I'll buy hot pads from here on out they're just a little too much of a pain to make.

Here's my pillow, just look at that job on the zipper its pretty much invisible :)

The pillow was made from some of the leftover material used to make the bumper pads
for the crib.

So last week Eric's parents drove out from Washington to visit us in Rexburg and brought with them their piano. They said it wasn't being used back home and Eric told them we'd love to have it so now I have my very own piano!! Its been so nice to be able to play again any time I feel like it, so a big thanks to Biff and Kim we love having the piano and loved having you visit.

Here's the piano :) Its pretty solid and took six guys to get it down the stairs into our place.

These are the stairs the boys had to maneuver the piano down, surprisingly no one got hurt and the walls only suffered minor injuries.

I apologize that this picture is out of focus but its of the guys working up a sweat getting the piano down the stairs.

Oh, those pianos are BEASTLY to move! But how FUN!!! to have a piano! Doesn't it make your apartment feel like a home. That's how I felt when we finally got our piano. Your sewing projects look great! I love the quilt and the curtains, and I'm so impressed with your invisible zipper! Way to go, Jewels!

Yeah!!! You get a piano!! It is the greatest feeling ever-a home is complete once a piano is there. ;-) they are so worth the move (well at least to us wives...maybe we shouldn't ask our husbands!)

oh and p.s. you can totally use my pictures in your home. Hopefully by the time you get one I have perfected the skill a little bit more! :-) Miss ya Jewels!!

Jewel, your sewing is spectacular! You need a sewing machine of your own now...although, a piano is MUCH cooler! I am so glad you have one now! Oh, and I liked Lily's shirt in the pictures with her Grandma Kim. :)
