Okay you may just wanna go pop yourself a bag of popcorn cause this is gonna get intense ;) I 'm just going to briefly touch basis on the more important happenings that have taken place these past four months, so those of you who were hoping for a very detailed account of everything that has occured...I am sorry to disappoint.
Alright let's get down to the "nitty gritty"... In April we had visitors! Eric's parents flew out from Washington to stay with us for a few days. They were the first lucky visitors to stay in our newly decorated "guest bedroom"(My sister Jenny made me a beautiful quilt last christmas and that quilt is what inspired me to redecorate that room! Thank you again Jenny you are the best!) One of the things Eric's parents were looking forward to, other then seeing us, was the promise of warm, sunny days. Well if my memory is correct I think they got one and half days of sun and the rest of their visit was rain and snow ;) But despite the lack of sunny, warm days we were still able to make a trip to the zoo, put up a fence around my vegetable garden to keep my plants safe from my kids, let the men go golfing, play with play dough ;), take a ride on the "world's longest gondola", play a few games and eat good food! We really enjoyed having them and were sad to see them go.
So one of the afternoons it was snowing we pulled out our play dough and created works of art! |
In April we found out that we were expecting our 3rd! It is going to be another GIRL! Lily is very excited and keeps asking when she can hold the baby ;) The official due date is November 26th but we'll see if this one comes early like the others have (please keep fingers crossed and prayers would be appreciated since my babies keep getting bigger).
I celebrated my 26th birthday May 22nd. Normally birthdays don't phase me but this one I felt really old so I'm a tad worried about future birthdays ;) N-e-ways Eric threw me a "minute-to-win-it"
themed birthday party and it was so much fun we forgot to take pictures :) Oh well I didn't look so good that day anyways! So a BIG thanks again hun for making my birthday special you're the BEST!
My kids both had their very first swimming lessons in the month of June. Lily was in a pre-school class and loved it, and Caleb and I along with his cousin Sydney and Aunt Sharee were in the Parent -
tot class. The very first lesson did not go smoothly but I am happy to say that after that one he did
really well and enjoyed the rest of his lessons.
In July we got visitors again! My sister Jenny, her husband Brandon and their cute kids Jemma, Carter, and Gavin were traveling through on their way to Georgia where they will be living for the
next three years as they serve in the Air force. Emma was also able to fly out During the same time as Jenny and Brandon were here and we were all able to spend the Fourth of July together and boy did we have fun!
Since Lily's birthday was on the 10th of July we decided to celebrate early while more family was
around to make it extra fun ;) Lily is now 3 years old but is the size of a 4 year old ;) she is one
spunky girl with lots of opinions of her own. She LOVES her Gariety cousins, enjoys painting and
coloring, likes to sing (by herself, she often tells me to stop singing because "its her turn"). She loves
to rough house, something she's learned from her dad ;) Lily is still a cuddle bug, I get countless hugs and kisses from that girl on a daily basis. She loves getting her nails painted and dressing up as a
princes, which her cousin Daphne has helped her do countless times (thank you Daphne!).
We are so very grateful that Lily is a part of our family and we look forward to sharing many more birthdays with this beautiful girl!
August brought us PEACHES! Sharee and I did several canning sessions together and a few on our own. We now both have lots of canned peaches, peach jam and freezers chuck full of diced peaches ready
for smoothies or toppings for homemade waffles ;)
And this my friends is finally the end of my "update post" of the past few months! Hope I didn't bore you too bad ;)
Oh and this picture got thrown in cause I LOVE IT!
